Trigger Happy Lawyers

I just read a story about a guy who pushed his friend into an incoming car. The driver had no time to react, and he ran over the friend's foot, and got sued for $15,000. This is absolutely ridiculous to me. How can these people put someone out of $15,000 for something that was not his fault? Why was the driver sued, and not the pusher? This is not an isolated case, because I hear about similar cases constantly. American's have become so greedy they are now regularly using our legal structure as a means to gain money in immoral manners. This corruption of our judicial system is way out of hand. America needs to stop stealing from itself and get a job.
